Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer! The Application Engineer provides technical solution support to the Sales Engineering Division. They will assist with technical demonstrations and questions in Ignition, assist with various Sales Engineering projects, and design and maintain systems for ever-expanding company needs. There will be daily interaction with Sales Engineers, Account Executives, and customers. Success in this position will result in a more efficient team, higher customer satisfaction, and increased sales.

About the Role

Application Engineer's skills, qualifications, and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Answering technical questions of Ignition
  • Providing basic demonstrations of Ignition
  • Assisting the Sales Engineering and Sales teams with technical needs
  • Assisting with Ignition benchmark testing
  • Building Ignition Exchange resources
  • Assisting with Ignition Onboard testing and validation
  • Researching technical ideas and write RFI/RFP responses
  • Programming applications and designing databases
  • Understanding complex systems quickly and efficiently
  • Designing and programming test scenarios, mainly using Ignition
  • Assisting with R&D work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar subject
  • 1-2 years as a developer or like experience
  • Proven experience in successful and positive customer facing position
  • Good knowledge of SQL Databases and SQL language
  • Experienced in programming languages such as Python and Java
  • Knowledge of Window and Linux
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Databases
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to understand complex systems quickly and efficiently
