Folsom, Calif. (August 31, 2023) — Effective August 31, 2023, Inductive Automation is sunsetting the Ignition Edge Onboard Program, in which the company’s hardware partners pre-installed and pre-licensed Ignition Edge software on select devices.
Inductive Automation will continue to partner with the hardware companies that participated in the Ignition Edge Onboard Program through other Partner Programs. As of September 1, 2023, Opto 22 will join the Solution Partner Program, and Advantech, Moxa, OnLogic, and Uticor will join the Alliance Partner Program.
The new Alliance Partner Program will enable Inductive Automation to lead with each partner's unique "better together" story. Additionally, the program will be open to a variety of companies, providing an environment to expand the IA ecosystem of trusted vendors.
As a Solution Partner, Opto 22 will continue to provide bundled solutions, providing customers with the option for Ignition pre-installed and pre-licensed on its devices. As Alliance Partners, Advantech, Moxa, OnLogic, and Uticor will continue to offer hardware with Ignition pre-installed, which customers will pair with Ignition licenses purchased through Inductive Automation and its distributors.
