Ignition 8.1.47: Upgrade To Fix Slow Startups, Ignition Cloud Edition Updates

Important Note: To fix a non-optimal edge case regression, Ignition 8.1.46 has been pulled and replaced by Ignition 8.1.47. Please see here for more details.
Sure, Punxsutawney Phil may have forecasted six more weeks of winter after seeing his shadow earlier this month, but the Ignition release train delivers some new improvements that are sure to combat any cold-weather blues.
Ignition 8.1.47 includes a fix for an issue causing slow startups in the Ignition designer, Perspective Workstation, and Vision; an added region for Ignition Cloud Edition; and more.
Update To Fix Slow Startups
In 8.1.47, we’ve solved an issue that was causing startups to dramatically slow down in the designer (if the Perspective or Web Browser Module is installed), Perspective Workstation, and Vision clients that utilize the Web Browser component. This issue was caused by a recent Windows Defender update.
We’ve upgraded JxBrowser to the latest version in order to solve this problem. Please note that due to this upgrade, the bundled Perspective Workstation for Mac now only supports Apple Silicon. For those of you with Intel-based Macs, a macOS Intel Perspective Workstation version is available on our downloads page.
Expanded Cloud Edition Availability In Asia Pacific Region
We’ve recently added the AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand) region as a new region for Ignition Cloud Edition.
Updated Cloud Edition Bundled MQTT Modules
We’ve also updated the Ignition Cloud Edition bundled Cirrus Link MQTT modules to version 4.0.26.
