Greater Access to Data with Ignition
6 min video / 1 minute readProject Overview
The bottling line and racking line application allows operators to select brands, tank sources and pathways to bottle beer from. Through Ignition scripting, the application checks whether the tank is ready and meets requirements for bottling and racking. Once the script validates readiness, it passes the quality parameters from the selected brand (ready via SQL Database) to the DeltaV DCS. Once the DeltaV DCS receives the parameters and the ready-to-start command from Ignition, the bottling and racking of beer commences. Additional tools such as verbose logging can track operators interfacing with the program using their AD credentials and identifying issues with SOPs or equipment-related problems. Brewers can track CO2, turbidity, and ABV in real time using the upper and lower control limits (UCL and LCL) which were loaded with the selected brand.
