Online Ignition Core Training - Old

Course Description

This class is delivered online using cloud hosted Virtual Machines. These computers have everything we will need pre-installed, but we need additional information from you to create the VM approximately 1 week before class starts.

Recommended home equipment: A strong internet connection and a computer with 2 monitors - You will be working in Ignition and viewing the instructor's screen.

Inductive Automation is conducting a 5-day training course covering the core features of Ignition by Inductive Automation. Whether you are a new user to Ignition or an existing user looking to discover the full breadth of Ignition's capabilities, this is the course for you! You will get an in-depth look at the architecture of Ignition, involving the interactions between PLCs and SQL databases. You will learn how successful projects are planned and executed from start to finish. Both Vision and Perspective will be used in class for HMI design.

The Ignition Core training is a five-day-long course with classes held on Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Instruction hours are 9:00 AM - 4:00PM with time for Q&A before and after class each day. On Friday class ends early at 3:00 PM. The course is taught in our virtual training lab where each attendee is assigned to a computer.

The curriculum includes lecture, demonstration, and the creation of a live project that gives each student hands-on experience with all major features of Ignition. The format of the course encourages students to ask questions relevant to specific projects they have planned.
