Job Description
The Account Executive II is responsible for building client relationships with mid-sized to major businesses to drive revenue growth and customer retention. They identify new business opportunities by understanding client needs and offering relevant products and services. The Account Executive II also manages ongoing client communication to ensure satisfaction and secure contract renewals, and may support higher-level account executives. This is a full-time position with remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities available.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with medium to large accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention, with guidance from senior level sales and management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and leveraging existing relationships
- Implement effective account strategies tailored to the unique needs of each customer, presenting solutions that align with sales and company objectives
- Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers, highlighting the value and benefits of our software solutions
- Ensure that they are following strategies that align with marketing, product, and customer success teams
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasts in our CRM system, tracking progress toward sales targets
- Work closely with sales management and legal team on larger account contract negotiations
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and product offerings
- Maintain records of all client activities, such as calls and emails within HubSpot and CRM, ensuring all details are thoroughly documented
- Track and manage leads and opportunities through CRM system, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting
- Relay customer feedback to internal teams as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-4 years of related experience in software sales or a related field, with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Solid understanding of industrial automation technologies and solutions
- Exposure to programming and/or database experience
- Strong understanding of sales processes and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for customer success
- May be required to attend customer meetings on-site or in office as necessary
Pay
Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires minimum and maximum target salary for this role is $80k - $95k. This role will be paid hourly and is eligible for a bonus.
Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
