Inductive Automation Releases Ignition v7.6

New Version Offers Industry-Leading Alarming Capabilities

Inductive Automation, a rapidly growing innovator in the industrial automation software industry, has released the latest version of its modular, web-based HMI, SCADA and MES software platform, Ignition by Inductive Automation™. Ignition v7.6 improves on its previous versions by adding a new, completely revamped alarming system with powerful new features:

  • Powerful Alarm Configuration: Select from a larger variety of alarm types, apply multiple alarms per tag and create dynamic alarm configuration.
  • Improved History: The new, robust journaling system makes it easy to record and quickly query alarm events, system events, user actions and other relevant data.
  • Alarm Notification Pipelines: Create and customize alarm notification logic easily with a drag-and-drop interface.
  • More Notification Options: 2-way email, 1-way and 2-way SMS, and voice notification using text-to-speech technology (separate modules required).

The new alarming system positions Ignition as an industry leader in alarming. Many of the new alarming features were developed in response to requests from Ignition’s global user community, and were designed to exemplify the widely respected principles described in The Alarm Management Handbook. The end result is a fully integrated system that works seamlessly with other Ignition modules while also robust enough to stand on its own.
