The Systems Administrator will be in charge of patching and upgrading systems, monitoring and troubleshooting performance, deploying and automating new technologies, and hardening existing technologies. The perfect candidate for this role will be organized, passionate about technology, ready to learn and have the ability to tackle multiple projects all at the same time.


  • Installs, sets up and maintains Linux servers for the various departments of the company
  • Installs, sets up and maintains software running on servers, whether Windows or Linux
  • Maintains AWS by installing, setting up and maintaining servers and other services as required
  • Works closely with technical departments, setting up servers & software as needed
  • Creates processes and procedures to help maintain server security, automate tasks etc
  • Manages and monitors all servers and equipment ensuring its optimum operation and security
  • Must occasionally work during non-business hours when emergencies arise
  • Able to complete IT Specialist duties


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, CIS or an equivalent field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Linux server environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams and/or groups in a DevOps environment
  • Ability to work, unattended start to finish on projects in a timely fashion
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems
  • Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP Networking and HTTP
  • Experienced in IT automation using tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Kubernetes
  • Experienced in Docker
  • Experienced in AWS
  • Must have knowledge on networks and server security
  • Python, Bash, or any scripting language is a plus
  • Experience in hypervisor maintenance is a plus
  • Experience in IAM and the use of SSH Keys and Certificates
