If you’re anything like me, you’re still riding high from last year’s Ignition Community Conference.

So brace yourself, because I have an update that’s sure to keep the good times rolling: the ICC website has been refreshed with details for the 2024 conference, set for September 17 - 19, 2024 at the Harris Center in Folsom, California.

Save the date, purchase your tickets, and start making plans today to attend ICC 2024 for valuable networking and learning opportunities.

New Opening Day, New Theme, Same Exceptional Experience

Prepare yourself folks, because this year we’re shaking things up and kicking off ICC with a bang.

Day 1 will feature a Technical Keynote at which we’ll share a sneak peek of a few features in the upcoming Ignition 8.3 release, such as a revamped Tag Historian, a rewritten Web UI, Event Streams, and more.

Don’t worry, we haven’t banished the beloved Main Keynote. It’s simply been moved to Day 2 to prevent our heads from exploding with excitement — and you from waiting on the edge of your seats for a whole day — over breaking the 8.3 news.

Ignition inspires breakthroughs. ICC celebrates them.

Speaking of breaking news — that leads me to the big reveal of this year’s ICC theme: It’s Breakthrough … or, is it Break Through? Either way, this year’s conference is dedicated to celebrating all the breakthroughs sparked by Ignition, and sharing those “A-ha!” moments that led you to break through former challenges.

Ignition is a platform for inspiring personal and professional breakthroughs, and ICC is a conference for celebrating and sharing those with colleagues from near and far. Join us!

Returning ICC Favorites

While change is exciting, some things are perfect just the way they are. Why try to fix what isn’t broken, right? With that in mind, we have several activities that are back by popular demand and ready to spark inspiration.

Table Talks

Last year, we debuted this activity in which we turned over the floor — and the mic — to the community and let you determine the topics and drive the discussions. These speakerless, group-discussion forums return for ICC 2024, with a few improvements based upon feedback. Look for a signup sheet on our website soon.

Discover Gallery

And, of course, there’ll be inspiration aplenty to be found for your next project at the Discover Gallery showroom, for which we received a record-shattering number of project submissions this year. It’s a place where unique Ignition use cases are put on display in video showcases with opportunities to meet and learn from the creators themselves.

Exhibitor Showcases banner graphic.

Exhibitor Showcases

Additionally, I encourage you to make time to stop by several, or all, of the 20-plus exhibitor booths set up throughout the Harris Center. The exhibitors are typically on hand to network, answer your questions, and dazzle you with demonstrations of their innovation. And this year, we’ll be streaming footage from the Exhibitor Showcases so if you miss one you wanted to see, you can always go back and watch it on-demand.

Livestream

Speaking of the Livestream, if you’re not sure you’ll be able to attend ICC in-person, no problem, we’ve got your back with the Livestream Pass once again. We’ll certainly miss seeing you there, but this virtual version allows you to watch ICC sessions live from wherever you are (as long as that location has a stable Internet connection, of course).

Tech Lounge and SCADA Arcade banner graphic.

Tech Lounge & SCADA Arcade

While ICC tackles some very serious topics, that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun. The tech lounge this year will once again feature the popular SCADA Arcade of games built entirely with Ignition. I invite you to come channel your competitive side and show off your hand-eye coordination.

Build-a-Thon

On day three, you'll want to be sure to catch the grand spectacle of the Build-a-Thon when two top-tier integration teams challenge each other to a head-to-head development battle live onstage. This year’s B-a-T is again fantasy-themed and takes place in the Lands of Ignition, so it’s sure to be a fun, educational, and exciting battle for the Build-a-Thon title!
