Ignition supports resilient architectures with features such as built-in redundancy and failover, store-and-forward to maintain data integrity, and support for edge computing and MQTT to enable decentralized processing and reduce reliance on central servers. The Enterprise Administration Module (EAM) further enhances resiliency by providing centralized management and automated backup capabilities.

While Ignition offers strong native tools for resiliency, integrating external cloud IT solutions, such as those available from AWS, further strengthens disaster recovery through scalable backup, failover, and replication strategies that extend beyond Ignition’s built-in capabilities.
