From Mice to Dinosaurs, Master Inventor Andy Stanford-Clark Finds Practical Uses for IoT Lauren Walters Thu, 11/01/2018 - 14:02
At Inductive Automation, we’re always excited when we get to work with innovative thinkers. It was a thrill to host one such figure, Andy Stanford-Clark of IBM, for a talk called “Andy Explains the Internet of Things — and Mousetraps.” The talk was sponsored by Inductive Automation and presented on September 20th at the Harris Center in Folsom, California, where ICC 2018 had concluded the previous day. A crowd of well over 300 people, including many ICC attendees, joined IA for an evening of inspiration, conversation, and Internet of Things (IoT) innovation with one of the leading minds in the industry.

ICC 2018: Community, Collaboration, and a Keynote You Can’t Miss Doug Dudley Thu, 07/19/2018 - 10:39
California summer is in full swing around Inductive Automation’s Folsom office, but our minds are focused on fall. Why, you ask? We’re deep into preparations for our annual gathering: the Ignition Community Conference. When we started planning our first ICC back in 2013, we could only hope that it would turn into the amazing event it is today; yet every year there are more attendees, more expert speakers, and more valuable tools being shared throughout our community. Many thought leaders from the industrial automation community will be presenting over the course of the three-day event, from a variety of industry backgrounds, with stories and expertise you can’t find anywhere else.
Beach Balls, Badminton, and BBQ: Highlights from IA’s Annual Company Picnic Lauren Walters Thu, 06/21/2018 - 08:20
Promontory Park in Folsom, California, is well-known locally for its enormous playground and kid-friendly activities, but on Saturday, June 9th, the park was filled with a slightly older crowd of fun-seekers: the staff of Inductive Automation and their families. It’s the _sixth_ annual picnic for IA, and every year there are new fun surprises. HR staffers Kristi and Madeline were responsible for the event’s rousing success, planning everything from delicious treats to engaging games, and even raffling off fun summer necessities like beach towels, pool floats, and sunscreen.
